🧴 DIY Recipe: Peppermint + Chamomile Cooling Compress
This is great for calming redness, cooling down after time in the sun, or just feeling more grounded.
You’ll need:
- 1 tsp dried peppermint
- 1 tsp dried chamomile
- 1 cup hot water
- Soft cloth or cotton pad
To make:
- Steep herbs in the hot water, covered, for 10–15 minutes.
- Strain and let cool.
- Soak your cloth in the herbal tea and place it gently over your face.
- Rest, breathe, and enjoy for 5–10 minutes.
Tip: Store the tea in the fridge and use as a splash or mist throughout the day!
🌿 Plant of the Week: Peppermint
Refreshing, cooling, and invigorating, peppermint is a summer skincare staple. It's naturally astringent and gently antibacterial—perfect for hot, tired, or blemish-prone skin. Use it in:
- Compresses and mists
- Facial steams with rose or lavender
- Tea blends to cool you from the inside out
Peppermint reminds us that a little breath of fresh air is always just one leaf away.
