Hormonal changes during perimenopause can affect your skin in surprising ways—think dryness, sensitivity, acne, or dullness. But here’s the good news: herbs can help.

🧴 Recipe of the Week: Rose + Red Clover Facial Oil

This hormone-supportive oil blend is perfect for mature or perimenopausal skin. It’s simple, fragrant, and full of soft strength.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp dried rose petals
  • 1 tbsp dried red clover blossoms
  • ¼ cup jojoba oil or rosehip seed oil
  • Optional: 3 drops frankincense essential oil

Instructions:

  1. Infuse the herbs in your oil of choice using a warm method (low heat for 1–2 hours) or slow method (sunlight for 2–4 weeks).
  2. Strain through cheesecloth.
  3. Add essential oil (if using), and bottle.
  4. Use 2–3 drops daily or nightly with gentle massage.

🌹 Tip: Add a spritz of rose hydrosol before application for deeper hydration.

🌼 Plant of the Week: Red Clover

Soft and pink, red clover is one of my favorite herbs for perimenopausal support.

It’s rich in gentle phytoestrogens, which may support the body’s natural hormone balance and encourage skin renewal. Use it as:

  • A tea (especially lovely with oatstraw or lemon balm)
  • A facial steam for congested or dry skin
  • An oil infusion for use in balms or facial oils

Red clover reminds us that renewal happens in layers, often softly and unseen.

☀️ Radiant Things I’m Loving This Week
