Simplicity and the Beauty of Less

Good afternoon, beautiful.

This week, I’ve been feeling drawn to simplicity, clearing the extra, the busy, the noise. Yesterday, I opened my dresser drawer and realized how much junk I had that I hadn’t touched in months. So I got rid of a bunch of junk.

Sometimes, beauty is found not in adding more, but in making space for peace.

Word of the Week: Simplicity
Word Garden: clear • gentle • quiet • peace

“Better a handful with quietness than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind.”
— Ecclesiastes 4:6
“The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.”
— Hans Hofmann

Simplicity isn’t emptiness, it’s clarity. It’s choosing peace over pressure, intention over excess. When we let go of what’s unnecessary, we make space for God to fill us with what truly matters.

Creative Journaling Prompt:
Write about one area of your life that feels cluttered either physically or emotionally.
How would it feel to release the extra and rest in what’s essential?

Try This:
Instead of listing what you need to do today, list what you don’t.
Notice how your body feels when you choose rest over rush.
