Good afternoon! I’m writing this with a candle burning and tea in hand—what about you? Actually, the candle is in the candle lamp. Its coffee scented and I love it. I only drink one cup of coffee in the morning so it’s nice that I can smell it at other times.
Sneak Peek: The Radiance of Time
Something new is coming to my YouTube channel this week: a signature podcast series called The Radiance of Time.
It’s all about pro-aging, embracing beauty, wisdom, and radiance as we grow older. Instead of fighting time, we’ll celebrate it. In the first episode, I’ll share why “anti-aging” is the wrong story, what pro-aging really means, and a simple journaling practice you can begin today.

This week’s word: Rooted 🌱
grounded • steady • nourish • strengthen • anchor
When we talk about pro-aging, we’re really talking about being rooted—rooted in wisdom, rooted in faith, rooted in the rhythms that nourish us as we grow older. Just like a tree becomes more beautiful and resilient with age, our own radiance deepens when our roots are strong. True beauty isn’t in resisting time, but in standing firmly in who we are becoming.
Creative Journaling Prompt:
Draw roots, branches, or vines spreading across your page—let your word grow with them.
Where do you feel most rooted right now—in your routines, relationships, or faith? Write about one place in your life where your roots are growing deeper.
Scripture:
“They are like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season.” — Psalm 1:3
Quote:
“Storms make trees take deeper roots.” — Dolly Parton
✨ Radiant Things I’m Loving✨
A weekly invitation to live more slowly and notice beauty.
This week, I invite you to:
Step outside at sunrise or sunset and simply watch the sky change.
Brew a warm cup of tea and hold it in both hands before sipping. Notice the comfort of its warmth.
Collect one small sign of the season (a leaf, a pinecone, a flower) and place it where you’ll see it each day as a reminder to pause.
May this week bring you rootedness, radiance, and reminders that beauty isn’t something to fight—it’s something to embrace.

P.S. If you could bottle one fall scent forever, what would it be?
